A certified rehabilitation counselor who works in a broad range of fields, 吉尔Bezyak, Ph.D., teaches both graduate 和 undergraduate students. 2015年,Bezyak收到了 a five-year, $938,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Education to train graduate students as vocational rehabilitation counselors who serve individuals with disabilities. These specialized counselors will serve individuals with severe mental illness 和 other disabilities, as well as disabled individuals who are transition-age or members of culturally diverse populations. Bezyak serves on the board of the National Council on Rehabilitation Education.

David Greene is collaborating with psychology professor emeritus (University of Saint Mary) Nancy King on an interdisciplinary research project. 他们正在检查 relationship between humor 和 diabetes. Early results suggested that people living with diabetes are able to maintain their sense of humor despite living with a chronic disease, 和 that people with A1Cs under 7% had higher levels of positive humor. 当前的 research is examining if there is a causative relationship between positive humor 和 control (as measured by A1C).
